• The Man

  Sascha is the result of hundreds of years of selective breeding, and raised to be a tenacious and brutal hunter of werewolves. Much like the mundane version of his kind, he is reserved in demeanor and anything but a people-pleaser.
  
  While he is a shifter fully capable of being human his kind is treated like animals by those that breed and employ them. Being a tool, a pet at best, he was not offered the same kind of socialization or education that others have had. Since he was trained to hunt werewolves using a reward system rather than having a hatred instilled in him Sascha has nothing truly against werewolves... but is wary of them regardless.
  
  Through events Sascha is not keen on divulging he is stranded alone without his handler nor packmates and is well and truly lost. He is not comfortable in human form and prefers to live as a stray dog or in between shifts, making him difficult to spot. He tends to loiter in parks chasing squirrels and rabbits and mooching food off oblivious picnic and barbecue-goers but will also wander into more urban areas.

  Wereborzoi are specialized breed of shifter originating in Russia, having been developed independently of lycanthropy. They have been bred for hundreds of years to hunt, especially werewolves which plagued Russia and Europe at the time the wereborzoi arose.
  
  It is an isolated species, being that one cannot become a wereborzoi outside of magical means, only born as one. They further diverge from common lycanthropy by having no lunar restrictions but tend to have a compulsion to remain in dog form to some degree - this may be a result of selective breeding, as they are desired for their canine forms and the human side only improves intelligence. Their shapeshifting comes natural to them and they can take any form between human and feral dog. While their therian form is their primary hunting form, the ability to become a seemingly mundane dog was valued for easy transport without raising eyebrows of those not privvy to the supernatural.
  
  A typical therian stands at approximately 7 feet, while typical ferals are only slightly larger than mundane borzoi.
  

  The Moon Wereborzoi are not naturally compelled by the phases of the moon, though those employed in werewolf hunting may associate it with the hunt which is a Very Good Thing to them. This alone may excite them. Animal Talk They are capable of speech in all forms, even feral dog. So, if a slinky dog starts talking to you, relax, it's just a wereborzoi.

  Notoriety It's not unreasonable for someone involved in the supernatural to be aware of wereborzois, so feel free to make the assumption that your character is familiar with the concept if it makes sense for them to be. Lightning Wereborzoi were bred for speed, and can outrun any typical werewolf. They use their momentum to add extra punch into their attacks.
